On November 18, I visited Panther Fit, Clark Atlanta University’s campus gym. When I walked in, I heard R&B music playing, the chatter of members of staff, and the clanking of weights being used. I saw students lifting, stretching, and running on treadmills. Televisions on the wall broadcasted music playlists, and staff at the front desk welcomed people as they came in. The energy felt focused and positive. One potiental story idea from this visit is exploring how the gym environment at CAU support students’ mental and physical health.
