Genneil Riana Lesley Brown was born on March 9, 2006, in St. Andrew, Jamaica but was raised in the city of Portmore located in St. Catherine, Jamaica. Born to Laura Young-Brown (née Young), a primary school teacher and Glenroy Brown, a meteorologist, education was highly valued in her family. She was raised to believe that reading and writing were the most important skills to adapt which hence birthed her interest in being creative. A shy girl at birth, Genneil was often reserved and struggled with overthinking. As a remedy, she would write down her thoughts and that’s how the idea of this blog was born.
