Hi there! Welcome to my first-ever blog post. Cue the confetti.

This has been a goal of mine that has been in the making for years. I’m so proud that it is finally here. For my first post, I wanted to do a rundown of who I am and what you can expect here. Before I start, I would like to give an honorable mention to someone who has helped me with this goal of mine. To my dad. This has been an incredible journey working on this with you, being able to learn and figure out so much on my own. Thank you!

So, who am I? Well, let’s see. My name is Genneil Brown and as of the time I’m writing this, I’m 18 years old. I was born in Jamaica and moved to the United States of America in the year 2022. I’m preparing to start a new journey at Clark Atlanta University to earn my bachelor’s degree in Mass Media Arts. I know I’m in for a ride.

Since moving, my life has become a television show as every day I’m met with a whirlwind of so many exciting opportunities that I will share here for you. I wanted this blog to share my inner thoughts, my escapades, and everything in between. You’ll expect to find posts about my experience as an immigrant, my journey as a college student, stories about my childhood, my opinions on stories in popular culture, personal reflections, my navigation through young adulthood and so much more. I’m opening up my diary to share with all of you.
